The cake didn’t make it.
The party still can.
Meet the Graveyard Board. The broken layers become dirt, cookies become tombstones, and suddenly the whole thing looks intentional.
Start with a fallen cake, a store-bought chocolate cake or brownies. Save the layout, gather the little extras, and give it fifteen minutes.

A cake with a new job
Gather the graveyard.
- The surviving cake or brownies
- Chocolate cake crumbs for dirt
- Four shortbread cookies
- Gummy worms
- Three large marshmallows
- Three strawberries
- Candy eyes
- Pretzel sticks
- Small candy pumpkins
- A little orange frosting
A rectangular board gives everything a home. Keep the cake toward the back, the ghosts on the left and the strawberries on the right. Build the pretzel fence along the front.

- Worms7–9 min
Half in, half out. They’re crawling out of the crumbs.

A dab of frosting glues them. A marshmallow plus two eyes is a ghost.
- Name it14–15 min
Like you meant it. The Graveyard Board has arrived.
Next time: let the cake cool all the way before you frost it.
